Welcome to Mark's Web Place

Greetings! My name is Mark and I teach mathematics and computer technology at a high school in Northern Maine. This page is about seven things I like or like to do. Those seven things are:
Reading, Sci-fi, Ice Skating, Star Trek, Collectible Card Games, Sleeping, Pizza, My Family
I have also left my email address at the bottom of the page for those who wish to contact me.

To me, what is possible excites me. If you have ever read Jules Verne's classic Man on the Moon then you know what I'm talking about. It was created many decades before a rocket ship was ever conceived. Yet, Man went to the moon in the 1960's. I have watched Star Trek since I was young and I believe that many of those things found in this show will also come true. Click on the picture to go to a Star Trek site with starship galleries.

Pizza has to be the perfect food. It can be cooked in so many ways. It can be a balanced diet all by itself. My favorite pizza has a thick, slightly sweetened, crust with loads of toppings (mushrooms, sausage, ham, pineapples, etc..) and lots of gooey cheese. One slice should be large and thick enough to satify even my appetite. Are you hungry yet? What about a bite of a yummy Japanese pizza made of squid and squid ink. I'm not kidding. Check out this Japanese Pizza site.

Collectible card games are purchased in packages similar to baseball cards. Players purchase many packs and then build decks from those cards to compete against others. You usually have to do a bit of trading to get the exact cards you want. I have played three trading card games since 1995. The first one was Magic the Gathering. Last year, I played Pokemon because my little girl enjoys playing it. Now, she has become bored with the game, so I am trying my hand at Star Wars. Click here to learn more.
